Charles “Chuck” Heinsius, 75, passed away Wednesday September 6, 2023 at Jackson Ridge Healthcare Center in Maquoketa, Iowa


A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch with inurnment to follow in Shawver Cemetery, Cedar Bluff.


Charles was born January 17, 1948 in Cedar Bluff, Iowa the son of Russell and Ada (Achenbach) Heinsius. He was a graduate of Olin High School in 1965. Chuck had been employed with Invisible Fence Co and Dog Watch for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting and fishing as well as watching and playing many sports and coaching his children’s teams.


He is survived by two children: Dillon (Amy) Heinsius of Palo and Aubree (Donnie) Hodge of Malakoff, Texas. Grandchildren: Ryker and Harper Heinsius, Taylor Debth, Grayson Debth, Chance Hodge and Shilyn Hodge, great grandchildren: Ellilizibeth Payne, Constance Payne, Hazel Debth and Jay’Lynn Goodrich.  Brother:  James (Evelyn) Heinsius of Cedar Bluff. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Tom.
