Grace and my birthdays are a week apart and for years we would stay at Zuber's to celebrate. We enjoyed talking with Brian and Bonnie over the years, they made us feel like family. I know he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Brian was one of my favorite city managers. We would often joke that Brian, along with some of his manager colleagues, had the makings of a starting offensive line for the Hawkeyes. Although Brian hasn't been in the profession for some time, he made a lasting memory on many of us. All my thoughts and prayers to his family.

So sorry to hear about Brian's death and passing. Wishing comfort to Bonnie and the kids and grandkids this week . Brian was a good friend thru High school and with me personally during my 4 year track and field sports . Always gave it his best as i recall and was a good friend to all.

Dear Bonnie and family, it is bittersweet that I saw this post while drinking a cup of coffee in the Lake of the Ozarks.
The James and Lehman families shared ownership of boats growing up and spent many memorable and fun years vacationing together, along with Geertz's, Clines, Palmers, Horsefalls, Kiwalas and others. Brian was the brother I never had growing up and I have so many funny memories of him. When he got really tickled he had a hilarious high-pitched tee-hee-hee laugh theat made everyone else laugh, too.
I am holding you in my heart and hoping you're retelling his stories, laughing, crying and healing.
