Pong Sidaxoth, 66, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be held 11:00  A.M. until Service time at 12:00, Sunday, July 30, 2023 at the West Liberty Community Center, 1204 North Calhoun St. with funeral services to follow at 12:00 P.M. Burial will be held at a later date in the Cedar Memorial Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pong Sidaxoth Memorial Fund.

Pong was born April 5, 1957 in Vientiane, Laos the the daughter of Khon and Kim Luongvan. She was united in marriage to Keo Sidaxoth. In 1980 they came to the United States from Laos to make their home. She loved cooking, sharing her recipes and talking on the phone to her sisters.

Pong had been employed with West Liberty Food for 35 years, retiring in 2022.

She is survived by two children,  daughter: Chay Hathi and son Rocky (Addy) Sidaxoth, five grandchildren: Lee, Kinnick, Carver, Gable and Hayden. Her father: Khon Luongvan, 12 siblings: Phong (Chim)Quang, Lay (Ea) Lovan, Ly (Linda) Quang, Leung (Phing) Seu, Vanna (Vinny) Luvan, Boun (Sokreth) Luongvan, Tem (Mimi) Luongvan, Tya (Kurt) Drew, Bang (Leu) Louvan, Chay (Erika) Luongvan, Chiem (Lamarr) Renshaw and Chanh (Matt) Rittenhouse. She was preceded in death by her mother, husband Keo and a son Kho.
