In loving memory of Conrado Frausto, Sr.
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we come together to commemorate the remarkable life of Conrado Frausto, Sr., who peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Conrado's journey through life was filled with immense joy and unwavering strength. His humble heart touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Conrado was born on August 12, 1940, in Margaritas, Coahuila, Mexico. He was born to Atanacio Frausto and Fabiana Lopes. He was united in marriage on August 14, 1965, to Dolores Esquivel.
In his younger years, he worked as a cattle rancher in the state of Texas. Conrado and Dolores settled in West Liberty, Iowa, in 1971 where he was employed and retired from Louis Rich in West Liberty, Iowa. He enjoyed family gatherings with good food, beer, and music. He loved horses and donning his cowboy boots and hat.
He is survived by his wife Dolores (Esquivel) Frausto, his three children Conrado Jr. (Rosa) Frausto, Veronica (Javier) Hernandez, Romelia (Leonardo) Alachan; eleven grandchildren: Atanacio “Tony”, Marc, Chris, Alex, Emily, Jissele, Michael, Andrew, Stephanie, Diego, and Isaac and nine great grand children and four step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Juanita, Maria Elena, Rosita, and Emma.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, West Liberty from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023, St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Guillermo Trevino, Jr., officiating. Burial will be held in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty, followed by a luncheon.
