My thoughts and condolences go out to Doris' family. When I worked at McDonald's several years ago, I would see Doris and some other ladies each day when they would come in for coffee. A lot of times, I would stop and talk with them. I always thought Doris was so nice and friendly.

My condolences to the family of Doris Lynch. A beautiful mother, grandmother & great grandmother that has shared her love of nature and all of God's creatures to her loved ones. I listened to the sounds of tree frogs early last night which reminded me of Doris in a story Marsha shared with me. She will not be forgotten, as you relate her life stories with one another. Doris has found her forever home, and St. Francis of Assisi has gained a new assistant.

For Marsha and all of the family, in loving memory of your mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Doris Lynch. Such a beautiful woman and how blessed you have been to have had her as an important part of your lives.
A poem for you by Walt Whitman -
DAREST THOU NOW O SOUL.
DAREST thou now O soul,
Walk out with me toward the unknown region,
Where neither ground is for the feet nor any path to follow?
No map there, nor guide,
Nor voice sounding, nor touch of human hand,
Nor face with blooming flesh, nor lips, nor eyes, are in that land.
I know it not O soul,
Nor dost thou, all is a blank before us,
All waits undream'd of in that region, that inaccessible land.
Till when the ties loosen,
All but the ties eternal, Time and Space,
Nor darkness, gravitation, sense, nor any bounds bounding us.
Then we burst forth, we float,
In Time and Space O soul, prepared for them,
Equal, equipt at last, (O joy! O fruit of all!) them to fulfil O soul.

I was so sorry to hear of Great Aunt Doris' passing. My thoughts are with you all. My first memories of her were in the 70s. My mom (Ann) and dad (Jim) and probably Grandma Gladys took Sara and I out to the guinea pig building on the farm to pick out our newest pets. I was overjoyed hearing all of the squeakers and thought I was in heaven! I'm so glad some of the family love for animals was passed down to my generation.
I now have the quilt that Doris made for Grandma Gladys' time in the nursing home. It's such an important symbol of her caring and I'll always cherish it.

I met Doris at Crestview Specialty Care Center. We became friend's easily. We shared many laughs. She would chuckle every time my cell phone would sound off that I had a e-mail . We had a big laugh when I told her I could get anything on Amazon. She said can you get chocolate covered graham crackers. Yep, they had them. Then she told me she liked coconut covered marshmallows but you don't see them around. So we checked Amazon and sure enough we found them! My life will always be enriched by having this warm, loving and caring lady as a friend. To her family I'd like to say thank you for sharing her with us. Those times we shared will be with me forever. Good bye my friend and fly high with the angels

Q: What will you miss most about Doris?
A: Doris always had a wonderful smile for me and loved hugs, she would say I will never pass up a hug.
Doris had such a great creative side through her beautiful embroidery and quick wit.
I enjoyed our times of coffee, shopping trips with Mom and next door visits across the street from when visiting Mom.
Coffee time at Reids Beans there was always some good stories from her childhood and raising kids.
I feel very privileged to call her a friend and to call all her children friends.
