Lew was a great guy. He was my free throw coach in the Elks hoop shoot for 4 years. I couldn't do it without him. He made me feel special and confident and helped me go a long way. I even participated in the National championship. He was always there for me even when I was feeling down. He was such a nice and definitely funny guy. I used to hang out with him when I was younger. He loved to play ping pong and we both liked horse racing a lot. Unfortunately we would lose all the time but it was a lot of fun.We talked about all sports, especially basketball and of course Cubs baseball. He used to come into my dad's restaurant all the time and would literally make everyone laugh. I'd be washing dishes and he'd come back to the kitchen and say something hilarious. I really loved the guy with all my heart and wasn't able to come into contact much as I got older because I never new where he was after he moved. I will always remember that I was so excited to have him pick me up and take me to the Elementary school to shoot free throws. It wasn't just about the free throws I cared about. I just always wanted to be around him. Who wouldn't? He was one hell of a principle too. I went to that school when he was there too. I'll never forget how serious he was but at the same time so funny and a nice. That's the kind of principle everyone would dream of. He may you feel needed and confident with yourself. Such a great guy and I know he's in a happy place now probably watching down at the Cub games with my mom and dad. Also talking about who he likes this year in the Kentucky derby. I'll always have a place in my heart for you and see you again someday to beat ya at ping pong like I always did. At least most of the time I think. Rest in peace. I love you man and will never forget you. Go Cubs!
