Obituary of Daryl Alan Richardson

Arlington, Iowa

Daryl A. Richardson, 66, formerly of Atalissa and West Liberty passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the home he shared with his daughter, son in law and grandsons.

Visitation will be held 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. Friday April 21, 2023 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty with funeral services to follow at 4:30. 

Memorials may be made to Daryl Richardson Memorial Fund.

Daryl was born January 27, 1957 in Iowa City the son of Ted and Kathleen (Jarrett) Richardson. He was a 1975 graduate of West Liberty High School.

In his early years Daryl worked track maintenance at West Liberty Raceway, Liberty Lanes and for many years Richardson Plumbing. He enjoyed bowling, dirt track racing, shooting guns, working on cars and spending time with his grandsons. He also enjoyed visiting family and friends in the nursing home, picking on his grand dog Cooper and was well known for his stubbornness.

He is survived by his daughter:  Daughter Peggy Richardson Wynthein & Husband Seth Wynthein of Arlington, Ia, Grandchildren: Garrett & Walker Richardson and Shane & Hayden Shaull of Arlington, Ia. He is also survived by his Brother: Larry Richardson of Columbus Junction, Ia,,  Nieces: Nicole Houghton of Le Claire, Ia, Heather Fisher of Boynton Beach, Fl, Great Nieces & Nephews: Zoie Houghton of  Le Claire, Ia, Braydon Fisher of   MT, Isabella Fisher of Omaha, NE, Kristen Fisher of North English, Ia. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ted (2011) and Kathleen (2015), brother Roger (2008), sister in law Rosemarie Richardson (2014), infant granddaughter stillborn at 26 weeks (2008), niece Holly (1985) and a long time friend David Johnson(2020).
