Becky Ann Mills, 70, passed away suddenly Saturday, March 25, 2023 at her home in West Liberty.

Visitation will be held 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 31, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Muscatine Humane Society. 

Becky was born October 19, 1952 the daughter of Duane and Marilyn (Bohac) Dotson. Following the death of her mother and sister at age 2, her father Duane was married to Maralee (Williams) and Becky and baby Jim were joined by four sisters. She was a 1970 graduate of West Liberty High School and attended business college. On May 2, 1980 she was united in marriage to David Mills in Muscatine. 

In her early years Becky had worked at the Rock Island Arsenal, University of Iowa Hospital and for 32 years with Johnson County Department of Public Health retiring in 2018.  She was an avid collector of antique children’s tin dishes attending auctions and antique shops to add to her collection. Through the years she loved camping and the outdoors with many camping excursions at The Pond with family. She always had time for children. They all loved her. And her love of family, hosting gatherings at the home filled with laughter and games with an occasional bonfire. She adored her only grandchild, Parlee. Cherishing the time spent together. 

Becky is survived by her husband: David Mills of West Liberty, Iowa, one daughter Nichelle Mills of West Liberty and granddaughter Parlee. Five siblings:  Jim (Teri) Dotson of Wilton, Iowa, Sandra (Dave) Duncan of Austin, Texas, Dana (Kevin) Pfister of West Liberty, Iowa, Krista (Andy) DeRiemacker of Atalissa, Iowa and Ann Dotson (Darryll) Alke of West Liberty, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her mothers: Marilyn and Maralee,  father Duane, sister Diane.
