Mr. Able as we all knew him was a great teacher and friend to all. I loved the conversations I always had with him at ag teachers meetings, FFA events and later on when I would run into him having coffee with his buddies. I'm so sorry for your loss, but find peace in knowing he touched thousands of lives and was a one of a kind that I hold fond memories of!
I worked with Francis in our first negotiated collective bargaining agreement with West Branch Schools. I grew up in West Branch and ended up teaching in my hometown. Francis was always a true friend through the years. He was one in a million!
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Ag education and FFA lost another one of the ‘good ole boys’. I fondly remember when I was a young ag instructor and the respect that I had for Francis and his ag program in West Branch. He was a legend! Rest in peace Francis.
A good man and a mentor, I Remembered Mr.Abel (Frank) just the other day. l started a new project building our deck using the nail box I made in one of his classes 47 years ago, Bless you Mr. Able rest in peace,
I can honestly say I was never one of Franks boy's being a farmer was just never my calling. I think his favorite two words were "now boy's." He was truly a West Branch institution and did indeed love history. Godspeed Frank you had a long run.
