Obituary of Janice E. Adolphson

Janice "Jan" E. Adolphson, 82, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Legacy Gardens in Iowa City. 

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch with funeral services to follow at 11. Family burial will be in the West Branch Cemetery, West Branch. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com. Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice. 

Janice was born June 10, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of L.C. and Marian Ella (Molback) Gill. She was a graduate of West Branch High School. On July 26, 1958 she was united in marriage to Joseph Adolphson in West Branch. Jan enjoyed cooking, reading, cheering for the  Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs and West Branch Bears and most important was her family and grandchildren. Jan and Joe took many trips, including spending many winters in Mission, Texas. 

She is survived by her husband Joe of Coralville, two sons: Curtis (Dee) Adolphson of Cedar Rapids and Alan (Melanie) Adolphson of Cincinnati, Ohio, two grandchildren: Jack and Jenna. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Andy and a brother Larry.
