West Liberty, Iowa Evelyn R. Keith, 87, of West Liberty, died Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty with visitation starting at 9:30AM. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. A memorial fund has been established. Evelyn was born on April 8, 1921 in Maquoketa, Iowa, the daughter of John and Blanche Applegate Wilson. She graduated from Maquoketa High School and went on to get her teaching degree. She taught for a period of time in Calamus, Iowa. Evelyn was united in marriage to Donald Keith on June 12, 1943 in Augusta, Georgia. She retired from the civil service after 20 1/ 2 years. Evelyn was a master bridge player and a former member of the West Liberty Country Club. She is survived by her husband Don Keith of West Liberty, son Jack Keith of West Liberty, grandson Shane Keith of Sacramento, CA, brother J.V. (Dawn) Wilson of Solana Beach, CA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Sherrie René and sister Doris Round.
