Barbara Jean Kephart, 80, of West Liberty IA, passed away peacefully Monday, August 17th, 2026, in her home In West Liberty.                   

A celebration of life will be held at the West Liberty Fire Department, 109 E Second St, West Liberty, IA, on Friday August 21, 2026, from 4-7pm.  

Memorials may be made to Barbara Kephart Memorial Fund.

Barb was born August 22, 1945 in Southgate Michigan, the daughter of John and Margaret Dasho. Barb enjoyed being with her family, watching NCIS, and watching Iowa Hawkeye football. Barb also enjoyed dancing, singing, and lighting up every room she walked into with her silliness. Back in her day (as she would say) she also loved ice skating. Most importantly her favorite thing to do was hug the ones she loved, and even people she didn't know. 

Barb is survived by her sister, Peggy Dasho, Michigan; 5 children, Marie (Todd) Engi, Canton MO, Mary Atkinson, Muscatine IA, Kathy (Matt) Esmoil, Nichols IA, Tara (Chris) Maurer, West Liberty IA, Philip, Washington IA; 11 Grandchildren;12 great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her Parents John and Margaret Dasho; Siblings; John Dasho Jr., Patricia Dasho, Kathleen Dasho, Tom Dasho
