Larry G. Regennitter, 78, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty.

In accordance with Larry's wishes, no public services will be held. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Liberty & Rural Townships Fire and EMS Association or Friends of the Animals in Tipton. Memorials may be sent in care of Henderson-Barker Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, West Liberty, Iowa 52776.

Larry was born January 17, 1948, in Anamosa, Iowa, the son of Kenneth and Elsie (Miller) Regennitter. He graduated from West Branch High School and served in the Army Reserves. On July 8, 1989, was united in marriage to Lesa Kirkenslager in Dallas City, Illinois.

Farming was Larry's lifelong passion. He began working at a young age on the family chicken farm and spent his life dedicated to farming. To establish himself as a young farmer and pursue his dream of owning and operating a successful farm, Larry worked a variety of jobs over the years, including employment with Procter & Gamble. He took great pride in his farming operation.

He is survived by his wife, Lesa Regennitter; his sister-in-law, Lori Gilpin; brother in law: Steven (Laurel) Kirkenslager; nephew, Spencer Kirkenslager; niece, Sloan Kirkenslager; brother in law: Mike Gilpin, and his longtime friend and working partner, Tyler Rogers. Sister, Joyce Dugger and brother, Robert Regennitter and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Elsie Regennitter, father and mother in law: Kenneth and Thelma Kirkenslager, sister and brother in law, Donna (John)  Kimbrell, brother, Roger Regennitter.
