Larry Talbert Streets was born June 21, 1939, in Anamosa, Iowa, the son of Clarence and Ruby (Reeder) Streets. He was a 1958 graduate of Tipton High School. In his early years, he worked in various local jobs and did some trucking. It was during his time as a truck driver that he met bookkeeper Karen Oyler at Johnson Hatchery in West Branch. They were married on May 14, 1960, and shared 28 years together until her passing in 1988. He later married Jeannie Claeys on December 22, 2012, in Valparaiso, Indiana.

In the early 1960s, Larry began farming—a career he pursued with passion and dedication throughout his life. He enjoyed square dancing and was active in several area groups. Larry also attended many land auctions, where he was known as a knowledgeable and valuable resource. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and enjoyed meeting regularly with his coffee club friends in West Liberty.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Ann Worrell of West Branch and Kimberly (Mark) Ford of Charlotte, North Carolina; a stepdaughter, Christine Sullivan of Valparaiso, Indiana; and three grandchildren, Frankie, Tabitha, and Amy Ford. He is also survived by two brothers: Robert (Karen) Streets of Letts, Russell (Frances) Streets of Morning Sun and a special friend Joan Gibson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Karen (1988) and Jeannie (2015); son, Michael Kevin Streets and son in law: Mark Worrell.
