We went to school together. Barbie always had a smile on her face and joy in her heart. She was my best friend even after I moved away. When I returned to West Liberty it was like we were never apart. I will miss her everyday but know she is now with her family in Heaven. All my love to Barbie's family.

I met Barbie at the Van Dusen reunion in Atalissa in 2014. My sisters and I followed her after that on Facebook. I always enjoyed her post when she would tell what all she got done that day. Baked 20 loaves of bread, canned 30 jars of salsa, sewed 5 gnomes, planted my spring garden and took the dog to the groomer, only had time to take a few pictures today. I was always amazed at what someone can do when they are the only one to do it. Now whenever I’ve had a really full day I just tell my sisters I pulled a Barbie today. Barbie lived life to the fullest and used every minute God gave her to do something. Gonna miss ya Barbie. Love Ruth Ann, Lu Ann And Linda.

I am just stunned. I don’t even know what to say here other than she was like a big sister to me. Barbie has always been in my life one way or another from the time I was a little girl. She babysat me, watched over me in my teens and became my friend in adulthood. Barbie, you will never know the impact you made in my life. I love you and will miss you terribly.
