West Liberty, Iowa Grace N. Bickford, 91 of West Liberty died Thursday March 6, 2008 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday March 10, 2008 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty with Rev. DeLane Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Grace was born November 27, 1916 in Cedar County, Iowa the daughter of Lewis A. and Carrie Joenk Mussig. On February 23, 1938 she was united in marriage to Russell W. Bickford in Davenport. She had been employed with Rock Island Produce in West Liberty and later Louis Rich Foods for over 30 years before her retirement. Grace and Russell enjoyed going to the President River Boat. Survivors include her husband of 70 years Russell Bickford Sr. Three children: Russell (Carolyn) Bickford of Iowa City, Frances (Robert) Whetstine of Diamond Head, Mississippi and Terry (Judy) Bickford of West Liberty. Five grandchildren: Mark Whetstine, Denise Nelson, Deanne Bickford, Duane Bickford and Everett Burtnett. Two great grandchildren: Veronika and Nathaniel "Nate". Two sisters: Erma Riddle of West Liberty and Violet Proctor of Moscow, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Eva Mussig and a granddaughter Angela Whetstine.
