West Liberty, Iowa Charles Dean "Gosie" Gosenberg, 82, passed away April 23, 2017 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty. A casual celebration of Gosie's life will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 4 to 7 in the Activity Center at the Muscatine County Fair Grounds. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Simpson Memorial Home Activity Fund or Muscatine County Fair Restoration Project. He was born November 16, 1934 in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Everett and Opal Hime Gosenberg. He was a graduate of West Liberty High School in the Class of 1952. On April 1, 1995 he married Lori Westfall Forbes. In his early years Gosie had owned and operated Gosenberg Feed Grinding, built & ran Mr. G’s Lounge, sold feed for Walnut Grove and Yoder Feeds and most recently worked for several LP gas companies before retiring. He was a member of West Liberty Jaycees and Muscatine County Fair Board. Survived by wife Lori; daughters: Deb Guinn (Greg), Sheri Hall (Mike) and Cindy Fuhrmeister (Jerry), step children: Todd Forbes (Shelly), Michelle Daufeldt (Matt), and Nicki Polito (Ed). 6 grandchildren: Matt Guinn (Kristin), Brad Guinn (Brianne), Brandi Campbell (Troy Miller), Jeni Laughlin (James), Jeff Fuhrmeister (Ashley), Lynn Fuhrmeister (Ben Caviness), 7 Step Grandchildren: Tanner & Taylor Forbes, Hailey, Spencer & Macy Daufeldt; Bristol & Becker Polito, and 12 Great- Grandchildren : Xzavier, Maxxin, Maguire and Kaidian Guinn: Kendall, Amelia & Elijah Guinn; Abbey Campbell; Lindsey & Brady Laughlin: Emma & Aiden Fuhrmeister. He was preceded in death by his parents.
