Lone Tree, Iowa Woneta Bernice Whitlock, 96, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral service will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Christian Church in Nichols where visitation will be held from 9:30 until 11 prior to the service. Burial will be in the Nichols Cemetery. Woneta Bernice was born October 21, 1919 the daughter of Jesse and Elsie (Houser) Brenneman. On July 2, 1938 she was united in marriage to Glen Whitlock, he died April 7, 1989. She later married Delosv "Dee" Brown of Atalissa on March 15, 1993 and he died January 1, 1999. She is survived by three children: Donna (Richard) Myers of Newburg, Indiana, Dennis (Stephanie) Whitlock of Coralville and Monte (Norma) Whitlock of Solon. 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren also survive. Preceding her in death were her husband Glen and Dee, parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
