Life Legacy West Liberty, Iowa Rosemary J. Wertzbaugher, 88, formerly of Atalissa passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty. A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the West Branch Municipal Cemetery in West Branch. Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. - 7 P.M. on Tuesday, August 9,2016 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Memorial donations may be made to the West Liberty High School Ag Department in Rosemary's name. Online condolences may be made to the family at hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com. Rosemary was born June 21, 1928 in Cedar County the daughter of Russell and Nola (Achenbach) Howard. She graduated from West Branch High School in 1946. She was united in marriage to Robert Wertzbaugher on September 14, 1947 in Cedar Rapids, IA .He preceded her in death on December 6, 2013. She and Robert farmed in the Atalissa area for most of their lives. Rosemary enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, gardening and growing flowers, sewing and needlepoint. She also loved singing, yodeling and listening to music. She is survived by daughters: Nancy Blunk of Tampa, Florida, Wendy (Tom) Rios of Davenport, Iowa and Terri (Abe) Henning of West Branch; sons: John (Nonie) Wertzbaugher of Atalissa and Tom (Crystal) Wertzbaugher of Atalissa. 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, brother Keith Howard, grandson Barry Norton and sister Shirley Palmer.
